Why write?
A few years into this career, I've noticed something: almost every great engineer I've worked with is also a great writer. I don't think that's a coincidence. Writing well and thinking well are basically the same muscle. You just flex it in different rooms.
So that's the whole point of this site. To make me think harder.
What I'll write about
Mostly software. Distributed systems, tools I love (and tools I don't), architecture choices and why I made them. Sometimes the stuff around the edges too: how I learn, how I get work done, books that rearranged something in my head.
